I’m super excited about my fabric finds this week for some new projects. I have an ever expanding stash, and an equally expanding project list.
The colorful paisley pattern is reserved for a new apron and a beach bag while the gray/white and pop of moss green fabric to its left will make a super cute summer bag. I like the green/blue paisley for another apron. There are a couple of chevron prints that I haven’t quite decided on, and the yellow gingham will go perfectly with some upcycled zipper pouches using empty snack bags.
While prewashing my new materials, I decided to get started on a special gift for Mother’s Day. My mom loves to travel (me, too, but I’m often too broke to do the kind of traveling she does), and will actually be out of the country for Mother’s Day this year. So, I’ve got to finish her project a little early.
Since she’s a world traveler and always struggling to stay warm when everyone else remains comfortable, I thought this cute tutorial for a new take on an infinity scarf would be the perfect gift. (Shhhh, don’t tell!)
Here’s the awesome fabric I’ve been holding onto for this project:

I love the colors and the pattern in this knit, so I actually bought some extra for some other future project yet to be determined. I may try out some sports headbands with this stretchy fabric, too.
