Hi, I’m Wendy! I’m positive, creative, a bit of a daydreamer. I like adventure, culture, and spontaneity. I appreciate the natural world and I love comfort. My crafting is an evolution, a way for me to explore new ideas and grow. My work reflects my love for simplicity, imagination, and fun!
My current obsession is sewing, but I also dabble in kitchen-based recipes for cleaning/body care, small-scale painting, baking, simple jewelry-making, and a ton of children’s projects – craft kits, science experiments, sculpting dough, sensory bins, busy bags, art activities, games, hands-on educational play, etc.
I’m an eclectic mix of my ’80s upbringing, my grandma’s generation of thriftiness, and the movement toward more natural living. I love the idea of minimalism, but I’m not great at practicing it – especially when it comes to my crafting stash.
I am happiest immersing myself in new projects, especially if they are challenging or require learning new techniques or skills. I learned to sew by reading the owner’s manual of my discounted generic-brand sewing machine and following online tutorials, so my advice for anyone interested in trying something new is this – don’t be afraid to fail! You will always learn something from the experience, even if it is that you never want to try that again.
